Home has two buttons, one for each question: "Is this brand cruelty-free?" and "What's in this product?"
What's in this product? Scan a barcode to see the product's ingredient list. Free.
Ingredient Check: flags animal-derived ingredients such as carmine and beeswax, and ones that may be animal-derived, plus EU-listed fragrance allergens, parabens, palm oil and microplastics, each with its source. Facts, not scores. Try it for free; after a few free checks it's part of Bunny Search Pro, a monthly or yearly subscription.
No list on file? Photograph the label. A third-party AI service only reads the text; fixed rules do the checking. A free check is used only if the read works. Photos aren't kept, and a list is shown to others once two people's photos agree.
Is this brand cruelty-free? Scan a barcode, type the brand or photograph its logo to fill in the brand search, then pick the brand. Barcodes and typing are free; a few logo photos are free, then they're part of Pro.
Short setup for new installs: pick what you want to look out for, and those sections come first when a product has them.
History keeps the products you've checked, on this phone.
Brand checks stay free for everyone.
More about the Ingredient Check: what it flags, how it reads labels, and what it can't do.

Ingredient rules
The Ingredient Check runs on fixed rules, versioned separately from the app because they run on Bunny Search's server and can change between app versions. Each result in the app names the rules version that checked it, under "Sources & dates". How we check explains the method and lists every source.
Rules 2026.10.1 (). The rules the Ingredient Check launched with: 100+ animal-derived ingredients plus some that may be animal-derived, 80+ EU-listed fragrance allergens, parabens, palm oil, microplastics and other ingredient facts, each with its source.
Not medical advice. With allergies, always read the physical label.
